Further to our notice issued on 25th January, 2019, the owner of vessel Yantian Express, which with fire incident on board since 3rd January, 2019, has formally declared General Average for the vessel. Yantian Express now is sailing to the Port of Freeport (Bahamas) and is expected to arrive in Freeport by this week.
General Average and Salvage Adjusters, Richards Hogg Lindley, will be appointed to prepare the General Average and Salvage adjustment and to collect General Average and Salvage security from each of the parties concerned in cargo on board. Customers or insurance companies should directly contact Average Adjusters regarding the cargo release and the required General Average security. Yang Ming will provide further information once it’s received from vessel owner.
