CUSTOMS NOTICE N-605 IMPACTS
U.S. EXPORTERS
Effective Jun 26, 2006, vessels calling Canadian ports will be required to present an electronic transmission of the manifest to CBSA for ALL shipments loaded in the United States.
Customs notice N-605 states this provision will enable the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to more effectively assess health, safety and security risks for shipments arriving in Canada.
Compliance requires ADVANCING THE U.S. documentation cut-off for Yang Ming Line Vessels as noted below:

Failure to provide bills of lading to Yang Ming Line by the established cutoff will result in cargo rolling to the next vessel at customer’s account.
** Note: Cargo Cut Off time will not be changed. **
DOCUMENTS NOT RECEIVED BY THE ESTABLISHED CUT-OFF WILL RESULT IN A “NO LOAD”
